Let everything that has breath praise Yah. Praise Yah!

Psalm 150:6, LSB

We breathe because God has given us breath. God created all things, and He placed the breath into our lungs. For this reason alone, we should be prepared to praise God but think of the many other blessings that come from God. When we are in the spirit of our Lord, there is much for which we can praise Him. God is good. He is wonderful. The beauty of Creation is awesome to grasp. The sin and the ugliness we see in the world are not from God, but it is all caused by rebellion against God. God created all things perfect and the entire creation was for man, but there was only one thing they were not meant to obtain. It was that one thing that the rebellious heart reached out for as they ate the forbidden fruit. We still reach for that which is forbidden. It is ingrained in our sinful selves. Yet, God still provides and blesses us. He even provides for us the means for redemption through Christ Jesus. Let us praise Him.

Let us pray. I thank you, my heavenly Father, through Jesus Christ, your dear Son, that you have kept me this night from all harm and danger, and I ask you to protect me this day also from sin and every evil, that in all I do today, I may please you. For into your hands, I commend myself, my body and soul, and all that is mine. Let your holy angel watch over me, that the wicked foe have no power over me. Amen.
