When we are aware of God’s law and see how He works, we can be lifted up and fully understand the mercy that God has and has always had. He sought to protect and lift up His chosen and continues to do so for all of us who believe and trust in Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. As we turn to our Lord, we receive His strength and comfort in our times of struggle. We can live without the concerns of whether we are living rightly, but we can simply submit our lives to Him, who will guide us in His ways and keep us away from those things that may bring us harm. As we live in uncertain times, we can walk with certainty in the love of our Father in Heaven and the blessings He has in store for us all. We have been promised eternity with our Lord. We have been washed in the love of our Lord, which He poured out for us on the Cross of Christ.
Let us pray. I thank you, my heavenly Father, through Jesus Christ, your dear Son, that you have kept me this night from all harm and danger, and I ask you to protect me this day also from sin and every evil, that in all I do today, I may please you. For into your hands, I commend myself, my body and soul, and all that is mine. Let your holy angel watch over me, that the wicked foe have no power over me. Amen.
