God Doesn't Fail

Revelation 3:8

I know your works. Behold, I have set before you an open door, which no one is able to shut. I know that you have but little power, and yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.

Revelation 3:8, ESV

For to those who belong to God, He never forgets them. God chooses us, and He calls us. With His calling, we are given opportunities to bear the fruit of His calling in our lives. We are called into service and, when we fail, turn to Him and trust in the forgiveness that He offers to us. The forgiveness our Lord offers to us is limitless. Once God has chosen us, His Spirit drives our spirit and guides us in our actions. Submission to the calling of the Holy Spirit in our lives leaves us in our Lord’s good hands. What greater comfort is there than to be settled in the salvation promised to us in Jesus Christ as we are called to be His vessels as witnesses of His promise?

Let us pray. I thank you, my heavenly Father, through Jesus Christ, your dear Son, that you have kept me this night from all harm and danger, and I ask you to protect me this day also from sin and every evil, that in all I do today, I may please you. For into your hands, I commend myself, my body and soul, and all that is mine. Let your holy angel watch over me, that the wicked foe have no power over me. Amen.
