O LORD, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! You have set your glory above the heavens.

Psalm 8:1, ESV

There is no more glorious name than our Lord God. He has blessed us with His name as we are able to call upon Him. He is accessible. We don’t have a God that we must appease, but we worship a God who gave Himself for us. He is the God who walked with His Creation in the Garden with Adam and Eve. He chose Abraham and Sarah and blessed them with a son, Isaac, who would be a child of promise. He called Moses from the burning bush. Our God is a God who is majestic because He created everything and continues to be active in and with His creation. He created all the beautiful things in the Heavens for our enjoyment. When we look to the Heavens, we can view His glory, and in it, we can sing His praises.

Let us pray. I thank you, my heavenly Father, through Jesus Christ, your dear Son, that you have kept me this night from all harm and danger, and I ask you to protect me this day also from sin and every evil, that in all I do today, I may please you. For into your hands, I commend myself, my body and soul, and all that is mine. Let your holy angel watch over me, that the wicked foe have no power over me. Amen.
