Enter his gates with thanksgiving, and his courts with praise! Give thanks to him; bless his name!
Psalm 100:4, ESV
God does not desire for us to have a bad day, but the reality is that every one of us will run into things that can really make our day difficult. I think most of us know THAT person. You know THAT person that if you see him or her, it can make for a difficult rest of your day if he or she is in a sour mood. So, if you do see THAT person, you pray that he or she is in a good mood, and if not, he or she does not see you. God does desire us to pray, and He desires for us to have thankful hearts. We are called to worship and praise Him at all times in our living and in everything, give thanks, and bless His name. David wrote many of his Psalms when things were difficult, and the king was after him, yet he wrote many praises and spoke of thanksgiving. Let your life reflect praises to God and be a blessing in your living. For those that are difficult, say a prayer that they may be blessed too.
Let us pray. I thank you, my heavenly Father, through Jesus Christ, your dear Son, that you have kept me this night from all harm and danger, and I ask you to protect me this day also from sin and every evil, that in all I do today, I may please you. For into your hands, I commend myself, my body and soul, and all that is mine. Let your holy angel watch over me, that the wicked foe have no power over me. Amen.
