Mark 1:17, LSB

God doesn’t call us to remain living and doing as always. God calls us and gives us gifts to do what He desires for us to do. We give nothing to God, but our own free will, ourselves. It isn’t a prayer for God to make us better in our way, but to transform us in His way. When Jesus called Simon Peter, James, and John to become “fishers of men,” He didn’t expect them to continue to do things the way they had to catch fish.
