Can't Hide

Blessed is the man against whom the Lord counts no iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit.

Psalm 32:2, ESV

As a father, one of the things that troubles me with my children is when they try to hide things they do that they know are wrong. The issue is that when I ask a question directly about something that has been done, I know the truth, yet I am told something different. It reminds us of the sin within us and our nature to try and cover our wrongs. God knows our wrongs. He knows our sin. There is no hiding anything from Him, yet how often do we try and act otherwise? The reality is that God does not desire to hold our sins against us, but He desires to break us free from sin and let us live fully in His grace. Live in the grace of God and be freed from the bondage of sinful choices.

Let us pray. I thank you, my heavenly Father, through Jesus Christ, your dear Son, that you have kept me this night from all harm and danger, and I ask you to protect me this day also from sin and every evil, that in all I do today, I may please you. For into your hands, I commend myself, my body and soul, and all that is mine. Let your holy angel watch over me, that the wicked foe have no power over me. Amen.
