And I will give them one heart, and a new spirit I will put within them. I will remove the heart of stone from their flesh and give them a heart of flesh, that they may walk in my statutes and keep my rules and obey them. And they shall be my people, and I will be their God.
Ezekiel 11:19-20, ESV
How is your heart? It is easy to get caught up in things and lose sight of what is important. We like to set our own rules and our own standards based on what we believe to be OK, but this is not what God desires. God wants to give us a heart transplant. He desires for us to know His love for us and that there is nothing for which we can not be forgiven. Nothing that we do and confess to God will separate us from Him. He desires for our hearts to know forgiveness and for the love of God to be reflected in our lives. Receive your new heart.
Let us pray. I thank you, my heavenly Father, through Jesus Christ, your dear Son, that you have kept me this night from all harm and danger, and I ask you to protect me this day also from sin and every evil, that in all I do today, I may please you. For into your hands, I commend myself, my body and soul, and all that is mine. Let your holy angel watch over me, that the wicked foe have no power over me. Amen.
